CG and digital art are different. AI consumes an insane amount of power and water comparatively. Also, there’s ongoing lawsuits that are currently trying to force AI to adhere to actual ethical standards, so that’s not really true either. Also also, AI is objectively taking jobs away from creatives for cheap billionaires to spit out slop faster.
There’s a lot of reasons to be anti AI and frankly your apathy does nothing to help improve the world - quite a lot of good things have been acquired through protest. Promoting a ‘just give up!’ attitude does nothing but slow progress.
People have been up in arms against advertiser friendly bullshit for decades and it’s not really going away but people are more conscious of it now. Promoting your other stale advertiser friendly garbage won’t convince anything.
