@vixxcelacea2778I think we fundamentally agree but what I think we see differently is that craftsmanship automation on almost any level will cheapen innovation and productivity. For instance, the couch being personally customizable through a website with a lower price sounds nice. Then you buy a desk at Walmart and feel just how terribly they are built due to the factory built presets to cut corners to make up profits on cost. Not to mention that furniture craftsman can build concepts not originally thought up and do even more personalized design just by talking to the customer. I know this because I personally built furniture, beds that don’t shake when you lay on it and cabinets that can hold up to 100lbs. The lower price problem is that it’s predatory on smaller towns and wipes out local businesses and job opportunities while slowly increasing price until a town grows dependent on it. That’s why if you want to see how bad a town is dying, you count how many Walmarts are in the county. I understand arguing for use case but the use has not benefited the cases I’ve seen personally. AI is fundamentally flawed and is desperation of regulation both on resource use and data consumption. It can be a useful tool but right now it’s just lacking the tool aspect and tripled down on replacing creatives/craftsman rather than work that is in desperate need of automation given the dangers of a chemical work environment. If you ask me the most beneficial replacement with automation is any work that’s dangerous/toxic to human hands. Cleaning supply companies, gas refineries, oil drilling, mining, garbage disposal, possibly some appliance assembly, and especially upper management/ CEO’s/ CFO’s/ anyone who’s job is to just sending emails. They lack the most in craft and if done correctly it could lead to opening jobs in other placements that involve craft or service.
