Anybody with an actual ambition for art wants as much control over how their art will turn out and they can, and you can't get any more control than drawing it with your own two hands (which is directly controlled by your brain).
The brush does not have any mind of it's own allowing to become almost a full extention of your brain via your hands. Ai tools sort of have a mind of their own which is enough to prevent this but not enough to have feelings or opinions for while(indirect<direct).
"But AI will get smarter" Yea, eventually it will be smart enough to draw as good as human hands have been for decades. In 70 years the ai tool isn't progressing to break the limits of art, it's progressing to do what we perfected 70 years ago. At that point you won't have tool anymore, you'll have a slave.
If you are want humanity to progress in art, work on perfecting the human not the tool for it is the human who creates the art.
