Any art is just a representation of things we've experienced. The human brain isn't capable of creating "brand new" ideas. All things we can imagine are basically remixes of what we've seen in real life, movies, other artworks, etc. The only difference with AI is dataset size and it's content - people have a lot of unique experiences in life, and so, much more unique data to use. Also unlike AI, we can associate memories with emotions, and so, encode specific meanings into our work. If that's what we require for something to be called "Art", you're right, AI isn't capable of producing actual art. At least for now. However, there is no real detailed definition of "art". Personally, I often define it as "something that was built upon a specific idea, and took at least some amount of work and knowledge to make". But it's very subjective, as we can't really measure work or knowledge. If we put the threshold low, most of AI "art" could be actually called art, if we put it high, a lot of human art on the internet will lose its "art" status
