That's the thing, they never made the art. AI "art" is the byproduct of training an AI program by feeding it information from across the internet, which it will then spit out a conglomeration of the information given to it. Nothing about this "art" is original, and selling it is quite literally art theft. It requires no effort to make, and that's exactly the issue. If all artists get replaced by soulless AI programs then we're getting rid of a market and an entire CULTURE. Art has always had purpose to the human race. Such as the Mona Lisa or Van Gogh's works, art is a part of the humab experience. Taking it at face value like this based off of looks is extremely immature. They're gatekeeping because this isn't art. People spend hours of their life to make art with meaning and passion behind them, and they're not looking to be replaced with a soulless program.
