If you ask a computer to write you a novel based on your idea, it will spit out thousands of spliced-together segments and sentences from pre-existing texts that do not belong to you or the AI. Whether you sit around and edit what it spat out is redundant, adding or subtracting, is redundant. I cannot take Harry Potter, edit my own vision into the original story with a new concept, replace all the characters names, and then say it’s my work. That’s un-copyrightable.
