As someone that's deeply familiar with how AI Art works, I 100% agree with you.
Prompting doesn't take that much effort and you can use models that don't require good prompting to make aesthetically pleasing images.
Now if you're using AI as a tool to create an art piece or using it as a reference? That'd be fair! But that requires more effort then just prompting a few words.
