@johnsmithy7918 All of the authors involved in this lawsuit have their books for sale on the market... that's how this company got ahold of them. They aren't buying the rights to the book... just the ability to read it. I've never paid anywhere close to $3,000 for the right to read a book and learn how it was written. These companies are using pirated material for training, which is a no-no. You have to pay for the book, movie, or song before you can train an AI with it.
