Tesla stopped using radar in 2021. The accident the video is talking about happened in 2019. Tesla's forward facing radar was known to have an issue where they prioritize oncoming traffic and move stationary objects to a low priority queue. I'm thinking that since the driver floored the gas, the computer didn't have time to get to the low priority algorithm.
