because it's either hilarious they expected a different result or funny as hell that people think it's racist or wrong. I haven't checked these specific cases but I saw one a while back that was supposed to filter out candidates for best qualifications and it mainly favored whites why? because they set the requirements needed (none about ethnicity,race or gender nothing that could be considered racist) and the AI just found that there were less people qualifed that were black
