Nah, people are mad that the AI "art" was being sold and advertised as real art, when AI cannot make anything original. AI are fed information from the internet and spit out conglomerations of the information given to them. Selling these "creations" as original artwork is, by all definitions, art theft and fraud. That's why people are upset.
