I think that, because of how fundamentally different the process of AI image generation is to traditional means of creating art, there should be 2 different things entirely unless is AI is used in the conceptualization process that you then go on to create yourself.
There's nothing wrong with AI assisting artists in ideas and brainstorming, it's the best fit for this, but using any sort of generated imagery for the final product is like me saying "hey guys, I sculpted this" and the nose of the stone head I sculpted was bought off Amazon and glued onto the rest of my own sculpt.
Anything generated is ultimately not artistic the way the rest is and should be treated as such. After all, you didn't make it.
