You still can make great games on a cheap PC just maybe not AAA Ray traced graphics games. You definitely can build games like Stardew Valley and Minecraft on a low end PC. Your compile times might be slow though.
You also don’t need the paid subscription to LLMs to get a decent productivity boost from the free tier. My coding with AI videos were done with the free ChatGPT and Deepseek for Fruit Ninja video.
