That actually likely is not even the explanation here. As with many aspects of this video which were false and misleading, there could be a variety of factors. There was no granular detail. Like, did this person just purposefully upload terrible, poorly angled photos, low quality, low light, etc. Not to mention, face detection is not even AI it is machine learning. This entire piece on the face detection part was basically entirely false, as with the bits about bias and also energy usage. As scientists we need to reject and evict these misleading and false narrative people who try to hijack the industry with their political agenda, it has no place in science, this person should be ashamed of themselves and should exit the industry and stop spreading fake info and lies.
