@laurentiuvladutmanea abundance of art and low cost to create them is the benefit. We will require truely creative artists because the AI can replicate anyone's style. It's just like programming. Once someone has invented the algorithm, there's no need for labor from the inventor to perform the algorithm. Let the machine do it. You, as a smart programmer, should go invent a new algorithm. The same should happen with artists. Your job is to invent a style, and let the machine perform it. If you are not able to think of a new style, you should pursue a different type of job, or advance your career to the next level. The free market will handle this. The AI disrupts jobs in order to force humans to work on something that it cannot do. That's good. It means productivity goes up.
Now I understand that scarcity also has value. It's the same with Veblen goods, Lamborghini, or NFTs. But scarcity always exist in this world, at least on something else. We lost scarcity of art but we get abundance which is more preferable.
