@deeplearningpartnership her irrelevant politics rant aside, the points she raised weren't all that thought out. Benchmarks exist for a reason lmao, and its to test incremental improvements up to a certain point. She keeps bringing up these insane points about how AI should instead be measured on its capabilities in revolutionizing education and healthcare, but fails to realise how large scale and cost ineffective that is. We have benchmarks for AGI setup such that we can determine how good these systems are across various domains, and fine tune them based on their performance.
