Unfortunately, this is not the case. I work at a financial institution. Our Member Service reps have been drastically reduced and will continue to be based on interactive AI. For my specific area we were a team of about 35 underwriters less than a year ago. We have been trimmed down to about 23 through layoffs and attrition, all while having higher volumes of loans (80% completed by our automated decision manager with plans to increase to 90+% this year) Also another action many institutions are taking is to bring on overseas workers from firms like HCL to use sort of like an on off spigot when the decision managers(AI) has issues. They also do the work for roughly 1/4 the cost.
