I think that for some people the process of creating isn’t what’s fun to them. They want to see the image in their head in real life, and may find attempting to recreate it with their own skills frustrating and disheartening. I know it’s really frustrating when you’re starting out as an artist and no matter how hard you try it doesn’t come out in a way you’re happy with.
Disclaimer: I’m not defending AI art, but I think I understand where some people are coming from.
