No one is going to stop anyone from practicing their art. However, some art forms like film and television are so prohibitively expensive that only corporations or investment groups can grant you access to your canvas. I'm sorry but I find it morally reprehensible to keep defending the gatekeepers who choose who gets to express their vision based on God knows whatever criteria, nepotistic race bias or fetishistic crap they wish to promote. And even if you were given a $100 million "greenlight' by Hollywood to manifest your vision onscreen you are still an artist in the third person because you are handing over suggestions to various heads of department to draft concepts for you that come as close as possible to what you envisioned in your head and you as director must approve or disapprove what they present and send them back to the drawing board for another pass. Same thing with AI prompting -- only it takes the place of a 1000 person crew.
This financial barrier against the common person being able to access multi million dollar filmmaking tool sets is what has led to a long history of horror stories regarding abuse and exploitation in Hollywood.
