It's probably just AI that is trained to recognise certain situations in pictures , like holding your telephone while driving. That is an example they are testing out here in Belgium, Europe. But the picture is also kept and they are all checked. If it is a false alarm, the picture is used when updating the training of the AI. So that it gets more 'intelligent'. Visual recognition is still what AI can do best, and these systems get a very specialised 'training'. Not to be compared to those Internet AI that answer all kind of questions.
