And when the replika founder said they don’t use ads because it’s “bad for humans,” of course that’s a blatant lie too. They make significantly more money from subscriptions which you are heavily incentivized to buy, on top of selling all data collected on you (name, address, device usage habits, everything you’ve ever said in the chat history…)
We are headed in an incredibly dangerous direction, and I’m disgusted by companies’ attempts to sell having relationships with AI as healthy and normal
