@purdyquibbNo, the water is not literally destroyed lol. When it evaporates, it returns to the water cycle, and eventually to the water table in the form of rain or condensation.
The main problem with AI water usage is that the cooling feeds off of the supply of drinking water, which is not free to produce. (It takes power to run it through city water filtration).
So with that said, theoretically, if AI technology leads to advanced power generation like nuclear fusion, the water problem becomes moot.
