Correct. The 'adverts will pay for it model' falls flat on its face when it's realised that being battered with moronic adverts turns a potential customer away like salt to a slug. At this moment, that is how it is proposed that AI will become a viable business model. Um... competition? Yup, AI isn't unique to one developer, there are loads of prospective suppliers, all of which will need to undercut the others, just to retain public notice. Self evidently this will wreck the business models expecting advertising to pay for them, a race to the bottom. Lots of giant AI businesses are bound to implode. This is pretty well certain, forget the present artificially jacked up share prices, there's nothing to support them beyond wishful thinking.
