I mean... if I saw it and learned than the garden only exist because this terrorist is stealing the water from people in need... YEAH! I think than this place deserves to not exist! Your analogy is flawed because we care about who made it, but no we care on how it was made (because "who made it?" is another can of worms about the death of the authors) We hate ai art because it still from real artist works to replace them, it show no creativity just pucking back what data tell it to do, use too much energy and water for what it is worth and will be use by big corporations to fire their artists to make instead tasteless slop. But also on the creative side it’s poor, like I know how it is from an outsider eyes, but art is more than just "pretty", it can be don’t get me wrong, some time it’s just pretty, but those are just the paints and picture you see in a hotel room... But that’s just the kind of things you do to pay your taxes... nothing with the true flame that burn in the heart of artists! We sharp our talents to express our thoughts, feelings, experiences, dumb ideas, politics, memories... into a new form! How we handle the light, the colors, the costumes, bodies, positions, dispositions... all of that’s is influenced it by it! Of course it’s more or less well done depending on the experience of the artist and context it was made with... But you know when it will be never the case?! When they will never be anything of that? When you use AI art! that’s why we find AI art boring! And we are not interested to look at it closely. But this isn’t just some artist nitpicking, it goes deeper than that... Their was always a battle between creators and the greedy producers (of course it’s not that simple but if I can’t explain everything), one want to create their own stories the other just want an assured way to make more money. The second don’t want to take any risk "why make new characters when we can just make a sequel/reboot?" Or "why make a movie aoubt pirates when the money is in Sci-fi?" Or "you want to make a feminine character who isn’t jsut a love interest but instead is cool and strong? But the boys will hate it!!!" Or even now "you want to make a girl who is not smart or cool? But what if they call us sexist?" And that’s how many errors were made, I'm sure many exemple of bad reboot and sequels in movies and game came to your mind. And AI is just the next tool of power for them, it’s like a one sided nuke! The AI cost less and will never argue against marketing decision about wanting to make their own story! Do you see how awful the disney reboot and marvels got? Well thank to AI it will become worse and worse. AI isn’t the beginning but the end...
