@subcountzero9421 generative AI is only one type of AI though. There are hundreds of other types which do pretty amazing things. Like medical research, sorting through legal documents, optimizing physics engines, predicting weather, etc.
Generative AI is just the one AI that became super mainstream that everyone talks about, but then they forget all the other AI that actually does revolutionize our world and saves millions of lives.
Plus, a lot of labor is still being automated anyways, a one big example is transportation. Automated driving is improving quite a bit, and is already used in tons of applications.
Its not like menial labor isnt also in the process of being automated. Its just that AI is slowly getting better at everything, but the stuff people really care about is just the creative stuff. Thats the stuff that gets the attention and views.
