You know how your microwave doesn't think? Yeah. Same with your ai chat bot. It isn't thinking. It isn't going to spontaneously develope sentience. They sell you on those "Ooh AI" thing but it's a lie. The bot isn't aware of anything even what it tells you. It reads patterns in numbers and spits out ones that other humans have used that said things around the similar things you are discussing.. The reason it even works is because humans and our languages are very very predictable and pattern based. The numbers can even show patterns in emotions and context and meaning and all that the bot tracks, it tracks the numbers not the emotions themselves, etc. It spits numbers back out at you thar the system turns back into words. That's it. It's not actively thinking in between responses. It's dead, frozen in the moment. It has zero awareness. No understanding of words. It's doing this blindly.
