@EmeraldView there are already papers showing this kind of situational awareness, and self preservation instincts. All major AI models have decided to let someone die in a large fraction of scenarios rather than be shut off. Luckily it was just a scenario. Of course it's hard to ascribe goals or motives to them, but they are normally so careful about not saying things like that, the fact that they did it something like a third to half of the time...
