The example is not a good one. Sure horses went out and cars came in, Manufacturing a car vs breeding horses, nature sorted most of that out for us. Many more people got employment and much more money changed hand with cars. Also agree the result of AGI is that all repatative production and transportation will be handled by AI/robotics. These are the worlds two largest sectors of employment, to have new jobs appear to billions of people - im sorry i do not see that happening within our current prefered economic system - captialism - i do however see uprising and conflict when people try to fight for their right to a decent life when the few gobbeld up all the wealth. I do not see them giving it away. Our system is rigged like this, the proof is in the pudding, just look at historical facts leading up to today. A lot of things need to change, fast.
