If you're using the grammar checker in Google Docs or Microsoft Word, you're using AI. Since you said, "will never use AI". Ever use speech recognition? Also AI. You're using AI every day, you either don't realize it or choose to ignore it whenever you make statements like that.
Be more specific: You hate it when people use Large Language Models (LLMs) to write something instead of writing it themselves. That's the kind of slop nobody likes but it's *just one use* of LLMs (and one very, very specific way to use AI in general). The way people here are talking about it, "AI" means "ChatGPT", Midjourney, and similar commercial offerings. Specifically, the situation where they give it a prompt and then copy & paste the result. As if that's the only way to use it.
