to be fair, don't humans subconsciously take inspiration from art they've seen before? and the art that AI is trained on is necessarily public, which means that the artists (hopefully) consented to their art being SEEN. and AI cannot directly cite any one of its sources- like humans, it really does learn in a very subliminal way.
