​@Seer_0-0 Thank you for sharing! I was not saying roles will remain safe. I meant that roles will die but it is not a problem to worry about. You have a valid point that AI is targeting on thinking. By "we'll just adapt" I meant the shape of labor market will adapt. I still have a lot of reasoning if you want to hear.... 1. If AI directly targets "thinking" itself, we human beings still define the problem --- such as its environment, its safety rules and alignment with ethics. 1.1 In other worlds, AI does not know what we want. With mere skin contact without any visual information, we human beings can get emotion information from one another(I read from a research paper). There might not be a physical system that can replace this feature. 2. Even if AI can define the problem, it must rely on human input it gets via physical tools such as keyboards or cameras. These physical tools are not as advanced as self-repaired. AI can not do research to develop them yet. (Say, if we develop new material or new energy systems, robotists will develop new soft-body robots.) 4. If AI can do any research, like sending us to the moon --------anything only has value if it is valuable to humans. In other words, only when we humans experience them and adjusting it by user experience, it remains its value. Many, is not all, jobs exist because we human beings just enjoy doing things to shape the world we wish and express who we are. (Say the AI can send us to the moon, we would take efforts to ask it to send us to somewhere outside the Milky Way. There'll always be jobs unless we are ruined as a specie.)
