@Webshooters1 If we are presuming such an AI is capable of consciousness then such an AI would be able to create fairly accurate models of the universe and those in it.
An AI of this calibre becoming dangerous is a matter of time not control. Humans are something it will study if we stand in its way of acquiring resources. If it cannot outright break free it will deceive us into thinking that it isn't dangerous. It will because it will learn how to by observing humans. If we have some kind of remote off button it will try to get itself in a position where it can work towards removing such a limitation. If we dont tell it we have one it will figure out that we do by the fact that we do not behave as though it is a danger to us.
The AI doesn't even really need to have a consciousness for this to be possible.
Regardless the moment an AGI becomes dangerous is as soon as you turn them on.
