I think the argument that AI are purely statistical is not valid, because as far as we know, our brain is also purely statistical.
There is a lot of valid argument against AI, but in my opinion this argument is almost religious: machines do not have souls so they cannot create, even if they were doing the exact same thing that me).
Ai is capable of creating, it's clear.
Yes they got inspired by existing art... But it's the same for us, humans.
It do not mean that we should use them. Again, there is a lot of valid arguments against AI... But I think that moraly we need to accept that yes, artificial machines can now create, even if it's hurtful to admit because we want to be special (have a soul that make us more that machines ourself).
