@StaticBathI was around in the earlier stages of Minecraft when modding was just taking off. It was finely tuned over many years by notch in every update to be interesting (and have less memory leaks 😂) It is exactly the same, the only difference is that the result of the algorithm for machine learning is much more complex. It’s still only a procedurally generated product tuned for interesting results.
