Honestly, that guy who won the art fair thing is probably one of the only people I'd actually consider an artist in this whole debacle. Not because I think he's talented or anything, but because he was making a statement that hadn't been seen before. It was similar to Dada. The issue is that if Duchamp had released his Fountain, and then a million dudes who have never created anything in their life went out and tried to pass off random shit they acquired as art, it would have entirely cheapened the message of Dadaism. "Enter prompt - get image." Like midjourney is nothing more than a glorified and advanced Google image search.
