I think it’s less that the AI “learns” from other art styles, it’s more how the process works.
By definition, AI image generators aren’t creating art. The algorithm essentially searches what images match the tags or prompts you assign, and copies common pixel patterns from the result. It quotes literally is reducing an art form down to sterile numbers and repeating what it sees.
The other big issue is that there’s no hope of privacy from AI. Anyone can download any picture from basically any site and feed it to the machine, regardless of how much the original artist hates them for it.
