@notasoap they make a profit off of what the AI makes.
Either way, you have to train AI somehow. This data is stored and given to others. For example, Face ID. Better and stronger Face ID means more privacy. Another example would be in the Military. You don’t want a missile to be in the middle of soaring through the air and suddenly get confused. That is something we do NOT want to happen at all.
There is also no way to completely filter out _all_ copyrighted images from the AI, and is impossible to do manually (given how vast the internet is).
