@thermophile1695 I disagree. Photography involves ideas of composition, colour, line, etc. These are ways that humans categorise what makes a good picture. AI does not apply these concepts as much as it replicates them. It has no understanding of these ideas nor a process where it can execute them.
As for elevating AI generated images - beyond human intervention by manually editing outputs, which only makes it better because it is receiving human touch - a prompter simply generates and regenerates an image until the model happens upon what they wanted. There is no process there either.
Going back to what armorhide was saying: I do think that AI can be used as a tool, but the majority of AI generated content (especially online) is made with little to no human input and is being churned out as entertainment with zero depth.
