I think you speak some truth here. It is the same with Microsofts prediction for cloudgaming. The internet worldwide isn't as good as US americans think. A lot of people aren't able to stream games. Same is for AI. I guess many even cannot afford it.
Plus the data bases it would require and electric power to run as you already pointed out. Those things aren't as cheap as CEOs try to make it.
