That's not really the case. Most people doing AI art are sticking to their communities. Most of the public discussion of AI art has come out of artists freaking out over AI taking their jobs, and people responding to that. It's gotten quite heated, which is why you see the "I don't care that you're losing your job" response; that's at the end of a long, heated discussion. It doesn't come from nowhere. The idea that anti-ai people are just calmly critiquing composition then getting a vitriolic response out of nowhere is a fantasy. Most people doing a lot of AI art stuff don't participate in that discourse since it's mostly a bunch of internet mudslinging and a waste of time.
