@Dysiode (It's a long one, but I urge you to read at least the last paragraph because I put a lot of effort into this) The act of art is a conversation between yourself and your skills. To act as though you can control any part of your art process to create your imagined end product is foolish. A lot of the world's best works were created, in part, because the artist _couldn't_ make the idea in their head. (To make this relevant to the video) And by putting a prompt into an AI, you're circumventing most of that conversation. You're flattening that process into merely the end product and what it gives you is art that looks lifeless and factory made. The AI removes any semblance of possible art style from its "artist" and crowd sources the art style from 1000s of different art pieces stealing all of those conversations(IE decisions and compromises) and applying them without any idea why those conversations occurred nor happened in the first place. To truly answer your question, no; the skribbles do not look like what's in my head. But, a lot of the most charming and likeable parts of those skribbles come from the things I didn't intentionally put in there. I'm not trying to photocopy the idea in my head down onto paper, I'm trying to have a conversation; if perhaps an annoyed one; with my art and my art process. I was unsatisfied with AI art because it couldn't understand the texture I wished from it. And it couldn't understand the texture I wanted from it because it's just a lifeless glob of pixel generation with no understanding of the conversation of art.
