Well, doesn't AI function by skimming data across the internet? Obviously there is a lot of racism on the internet so it's pulling on that information. As for our brain purposefully creating an out group, yes, it does do that, and served a function back then to keep us safe at the time. It's important people know this so they can understand their inclination towards biases no longer serve a function for survival and help us progress past them as a society.
