Oh no ai having biases for one reason or another and appearing racist is more common than you think
If I remember correctly, microsoft released a chatbot ai with the intent of getting it to learn from and emulate the people it interacted with to try and become the voice of the internet.

As an AI learns from the data it is given, data that is skewed, intentionally or not, will make the ai bias as well. In result, having an AI analyze Police reports that have a lot of black people arrested will make the AI assume black people are criminals
