@coffeebeanz No. Like I said before, AI does not "steal art". It's trained on how to mimic art on various different art styles. Anime, Photorealism, Pixel Art, you name it. It's trained on the STYLE which is not copyrighted and ANYONE can make art in those styles regardless of the method. Drawing, Digital, etc. Now, if someone generating an image types in the prompt that they want an image specifically generated in "Akira Toriyamas" art style for example, then YES. THAT particular image would be considered stealing art from an artist. Because the person typing specifically stated they want the image in a specific artists' style. And for the record, yes. THAT is wrong. But what I find hypocritical is that artists that draw do this all the time with fan art and no one bats an eye. Technically anytime you draw a copyrighted character and sell it like SO MANY artists do at artists alleys at conventions, regardless of wether you made it yourself it's still a copyrighted character. So legally speaking, that's stealing art and is illegal because that copyrighted character they drew and sold doesn't belong to them. But somehow artists are able to get away with this and AI Artists can't do the same? It's incredibly unjustified and a huge double standard. So no, the hate just doesn't make sense.
