First of all, it's OK for you to form your own opinions. You don't need to get permission from Brandon to use AI.
But seeing as Brandon probably won't respond to every comment here, I will try to assuage your worry: what Brandon is talking about is using AI to write sentences or come up with world building elements, which he argues is unethical because the AI was trained on existing writers' work.
If what you did is just asked ChatGPT questions like "Hey I have a world where people use flowers for their magic system, do you think that's cool?", then no, you absolutely did not do anything controversial, even by Brandon's stated standards. You do not need to worry.
