If I see a watermark or shit like noise/etc I'll simply never look at the artist's new work ever again, simple as that. I don't use social media, but if I did I'd simply unfollow them. Artists downscaling and/or ruining their own work with a dozen different filters is pointless and all it does is ruin their own work and the day of the people who were looking at it. And if I were to pay money to someone via Patreon/etc I'd simply withdraw from further donations. The only thing that could potentially happen is your unique style being copied into a popular model, which wouldn't do anything, as at that point you'd already be a very popular artist and would only not have to fear the AI slop, but you'd already have copy-cats of your style anyway. It's crazy how AI slop is being discussed to death, but no one ever talks about style "theft".
