Exactly. All it takes is a few accidents with these driverless trucks that made "mistakes" or there was a glitch because it lost a connection to the internet of sorts and ended up killing an innocent victim through no fault of his or her own. You cannot remove the human element from truck driving or just driving in general. If this technology is actually brought to fruition on the highways and roads of America, it is inevitable that an 80,000 lb truck will lose its connection to the internet and end up plowing into a major traffic jam going 70 or 80 mph and killing dozens of people. And what if that load is carrying hazardous materials? Think about all the collateral damage. Nope, I am totally against this technology 100 percent.
