So basically; he was involved with the wrong crowd, comitted crimes, and it fucked his life up?
Kind of sounds like it wasn't the AI or the police that was the problem. Not even saying that Ai isn't having some discrimination problems, but this particular instance comes down to he chose bad friends and did things he knew he wasn't supposed to do. May not have been a gangbanger himself, but when you hang with them, you're expected to fall in line to some degree.
Is anyone surprised the police thought he was a threat when his friends are ACTUAL THREATS? Guilty by association isn't entirely without merit...better safe than sorry.
