I think it can automate quite a lot of things that humans struggle with due to sheer logistical complexity. AI are still numbercrunchers, they can process volumes of data that humans simply cannot.
I see human oversight purely to ensure they are operating properly like with a manager and employees as necessary in some cases. Like overriding decisions made by the AI on the occasion that it makes a bad choice.
Non-sentient AI’s are tools, they can used to better life for humans as any tool hypothetically can.
