There is actually a massive gap in quality between AI slop and actual art. With an artist, every pixel of their piece is there with a reason and if you see something odd in a piece, you can talk to the artist and get a reasoning as to why it is there. With AI, it adds random details and anomalies because it is trying to imitate other images it has been trained on and often adds things that make no sense, such as buttons on clothes that don't actually hold anything together, extra limbs, misshapen eyes, the list goes on
